It’s Monday, March 23 and we all have 73 days left until our kiddos graduate from high school😅.
We will be checking in with you every Monday until June 1st with updates for fundraising, safe grad and grand march.
We really want these events to be fun, memorable and full of activities everyone will enjoy and cherish…but we really need to hear from more of you.
We are all very busy. Have lots going on in our lives. We appreciate that.
However, we are looking to hear from more of you. The sign up sheet needs to fill up in order to run safe grad.
We need you to take part and step up sooner than later.
If you are part of the school division, please check with your spouse who isn’t.
Perhaps they can do something small! Have them check the Sign Up Genius link to see if they can do something or donate an item or even know of someone who can help!
Examples?
We are looking for a medic truck and a medic.
Do you know of someone who could fill this role?
We are also looking for fencing…
Safe grad won’t run without fencing. We can’t apply for insurance until we have this.
Maybe an oilfield company you know has some or would like to sponsor fencing, (I am looking into the cost for fencing if we can’t find someone who has it).

💰 Fundraiser Updates (as of March 23, 2026)
Fundraiser #1.~Fill Your Freezer:
This is an Alberta based company (TeamFund) created to help out teams, parents groups and non-profits raise money in a creative, yummy way. The freezer boxes are on the larger size, but when you break down the costs per item, they match companies like Costco and M&M.
We need 100 items to be ordered for free shipping. As of now, we need about 30 more items/boxes to meet our goal of 100 so that we get free shipping ($200 shipping if we don’t reach it). Every single order matters and counts right now. You can sign up and create your “seller” account and then you will see a link to SHARE WITH FRIENDS AND FAMILY online or via text.
I typically tell friends about it on the phone or in person and after they go to look at the items, they seem really impressed by the selection. 100% of my friends who view the site, via my link have ordered. :)

As of today (March 23) we have raised $1600. (goal: $3000) Thank you to each of you who have shared and ordered. Your kids thank you, lol.
So, in case you are wondering, why are we/you raising money? Ticket sales cover the basics of Grand March and Safe Grad, but anything extra (like food and activities) will need either gifts in kind or money raised through one of our fundraising events.
These fundraisers have deadlines, and they are coming up fast. Fill your freezer closes Wednesday, April 8th, 2026 at 11 pm. which means we all have 16 days to share and order ourselves.

Fundraiser #2~Shaken & Stirred: this fundraiser has the potential to raise a lot of funds…however, we need everyone to share and get $20 “donations” from friends and family so they get the opportunity to win our full bar (every single spirit + accessories + mixes + cooler).
$20 dollar donation gives them 1 entry to win. $40 gets them 2…and so on.
Now that many of you dropped off your contributions, we are ready to sell, but you only have until April 2 to get your entries in.

Bottle Drop-off: Drop off your empties to any of the bottle depots around GP. Ask to tag your bag with the code: BL107 (go to the Kiosk for your tag and drop off).

Safe Grad cannot happen without parent involvement. We are hoping to fill more spots on our sign up form.
Siblings and family members are also welcome to help out…we just ask they are over 18 years of age.

🍸 Shaken & Stirred: Deadline to share, make money and get your entries in!!!
We have two premium prize packages ready to be won…one "Top Shelf Spirits" kit and one "Zero-Proof & Coolers" kit. Now, we need every parent to help us "sell" entries to get these funded for Safe Grad.
The Prize: Two winners will be drawn (one for each package).
The Cost: $20 per entry.
The Goal: 100% of the money raised goes straight to the Safe Grad 2026 budget.
What we need from you: Reach out to your friends, neighbors, and coworkers. This is a parent-to-parent "giveaway," so we are keeping it informal and word-of-mouth.
How to "Sell":
Collect $20 from anyone who wants in.

If you aren’t sure how to bring it up, try phrasing your invite similar to this:
"My kid is graduating in June and we’re doing a private giveaway to raise money for a Safe Grad. It’s $20 an entry to win one of two premium bar kits (one spirits, one zero-proof/coolers). Want in?"
Grand March Update…
We need GRADE 11 PARENTS!
In order for our Grad parents to be able to sit and relax during the Grand March, we need the help of Grade 11 parents!
Do you know any? We really need their help!
Their jobs are as follows (before/during the ceremony):
Supervising/helping the Graduates in the Multipurpose Room
Lining them up before they go on stage
Handing their questionnaires to them to give to the MC before walking the stage
Volunteers lining the perimeter of the arena showing the grads where to walk
We will need approximately 10-15 volunteers for this. This will be good learning for them next year I can bribe them with free snacks and a whole lot of fun!
Camille from the Grand March committee will be creating a sign up sheet and will be able to send you a link to any parents you know that are willing help us out. You can also send them her number: 780-832-9412.
